Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase is not expected to play this week, and may be out for an extended period of time with a hip injury.

Chase is one of the best receivers in the game today. He won the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award in 2021 and carried that honor into some massive performances thus far in 2022.

Chase has amassed 47 catches, 605 yards and six touchdowns this year, making him one of the top fantasy performers available.

What should fantasy football players do following the injury news? Here's what our experts have to say.

Ja'Marr Chase Fantasy Football Impact

Sean KoernerIn reaction to this news, I would move Tee Higgins to my WR5 position, Tyler Boyd up to WR26 and Hayden Hurst up to TE6.

Mike Thomas will likely get the biggest uptick in snaps, but I don't think he's going to command enough targets to offer much fantasy value outside of DFS. He's up to WR69 for me.

Chris Raybon: Higgins, now WR6, should eat as Burrow's top target, especially if Denzel Ward (concussion) is unable to go for the Browns.

Boyd moves up to WR23 and Hurst goes up to TE6, while Joe Burrow drops from QB4 to QB5. Thomas will likely replace the majority of Chase's snaps, but he projects as WR64 for me. Thomas is a DFS dart throw at best.

Samantha Previte: I love Hurst this week against Cleveland's rancid pass defense.

He should be a Top-10 TE and is a nice fill-in for Travis Kelce or Gerald Everett managers this week.

Higgins should be a low-end WR1 and Boyd a low-end WR2/high-end WR3 with upside. The Browns rank 28th in pass DVOA, 28th in overall defensive DVOA and gave up 38 points, 309 yards and two touchdowns to a Bailey Zappe-led Patriots team two weeks ago.
