Some Jets bettors went down in agony on Friday afternoon after two popular picks lost after a Hail Mary pick-six resulted in a 14-point swing in Dolphins vs. Jets.

The Jets had been +6.5 to cover in the first half after a pick six of their own earlier in the quarter. And bettors who wagered on the under for the half at 20.5 probably screamed in pain, too.

The play brought Miami over the -9.5 margin, too, where the line closed for the NFL's inaugural Black Friday game. The total at 40.5 was also put into jeopardy as a result of the foible.

It's a culmination of a comedic offensive season for the Jets. Entering Friday, the Jets had scored a single offensive touchdown in 46 possessions — and as of halftime hadn't scored, in six possessions, either. And the only offensive possession they've scored on this side of October happened after a fake punt brought the Jets to the edge of the red zone.

While all the sharps were on the Jets at +9.5 for this matchup, none of the public was. So, in effect, sharp bettors were most affected by horrible play from a horrible offensive team.
