Joe Flacco is scheduled to still receive his player incentive despite missing Sunday's game because the Browns are locked into the No. 5 seed.
Flacco had originally written into his contract that he would receive $75,000 for each win during the regular season. For Sunday's finale against the Bengals — in which several Browns starters are resting — his incentive will be shifted into a roster bonus and he will receive the $75,000 for his efforts, anyway.
The former Super Bowl MVP will receive even further incentives, dependent on how far the Browns go in the playoffs.
If the Browns win a road playoff game during the Wild Card Round, Flacco will earn $250,000. A divisional round win would net Flacco $500,000. A win in the AFC Championship game would earn $1,000,000. And a Super Bowl win would net Flacco a smooth $2 million.
Jeff Driskell will suit up for the Browns in what amounts to a meaningless game.
The Browns will face off against the winner of the AFC South. If the Jaguars beat the Titans on the road on Sunday, it'll be Browns vs. Jaguars. If the Jaguars lose, the winner of Texans vs. Colts will play the Browns at home in the playoffs.
