With Keenan Allen out tonight, I'm expecting Josh Palmer to step up with a big game.
Palmer should see a lot of playing time tonight. His route tree also tends to overlap Allen's quite a bit, so he should pick up a few of the extra targets that Allen leaves behind.
Palmer only had three catches for five yards in Week 1. A lot of that was due to the Chargers being very conservative once they had a big lead. Justin Herbert only threw for 75 yards in the second half.
That won't work tonight against the Chiefs. I expect Herbert will have to air it out for all four quarters.
I'm projecting Palmer to run a route on roughly 85% of Herbert's dropbacks, which means he could be the No. 2 or 3 target for Los Angeles tonight. I'm also projecting Palmer's median to be closer to 53.5 yards tonight.
I love the upside and value we're getting on Palmer's over. Lock it in now before it rises, because this number should be closer to 50. I expect it to end up closer to 48-50.
