The Raiders (3-12) and Saints (5-10) face off in NFL Week 17 at 1 p.m. EST from Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. The game will be broadcast live on FOX and can be streamed on platforms like YouTube TV.

The Raiders won 19-14 over the Jaguars last week, ending their 10-game losing streak and hurting their draft position for 2025. Brock Bowers had 11 catches for 99 yards and continues to be the bright spot on an otherwise mediocre (at best) roster. The Saints became the first team in the NFL to be shut out last week in a 34-0 loss to the Packers. Spencer Rattler is back under center this week and will still be without Alvin Kamara and Chris Olave.

Let's get into my Raiders vs. Saints predictions and NFL picks.

The Raiders are favored by 2 points with the game total set at 37.5 points scored. The Raiders are -125 favorites on the moneyline, while the Saints are +105 to pull off the upset.

Raiders vs. Saints Prediction

Spread

In a matchup between two teams with nothing to play for but draft position, I'm avoiding the spread.

Over/Under

My projections favor the over in this matchup, but I can't quite get there in a matchup of Aidan O'Connell vs. Spencer Rattler. I'll be betting on offensive production in the prop market.

Player Props

Brock Bowers will almost certainly clinch the rookie tight end receiving yards record on Sunday, but I like him to do a lot more than that against this Saints.

Back Bowers to clear his receiving yards prop.

My Pick: Brock Bowers Over 71.5 Receiving Yards

Raiders vs. Saints Betting Preview

  • The Raiders are 7-8 against the spread this season.
  • The Raiders have covered the spread in 3 of their last 4 games.
  • The Saints are 6-9 against the spread this season.
  • The Saints have failed to cover the spread in 3 of their last 4 games.

Raiders vs. Saints Picks

My projections love the over, which according to Bet Labs hits 76% of the time when it’s 41 or lower and both teams play their home games indoors.

I’m instead backing a specific offensive player in Brock Bowers, who is 10 yards shy of Mike Ditka’s rookie receiving tight end record.

Aidan O’Connell knows who his go-to guy is. When O’Connell plays at least one-third of the Raiders' offensive snaps, Bowers is averages 8.5 receptions on 11.3 targets for 91.5 receiving yards. He has double-digit targets and at least eight receptions in five of those six games.

The Saints defense is awful against opposing tight ends. New Orleans ranks in the bottom five in DVOA against the position, but it has only allowed one tight end to score a touchdown this season despite some big performances: Dallas Goedert had 10 receptions for 170 yards, Travis Kelce had nine receptions for 70 yards and David Njoku had nine receptions for 81 yards.

With neither team is playing for anything except draft position, this is the kind of game where things like Bowers setting an NFL record will be the Raiders’ priority.

Also, if they want to win, chances are getting him the ball will be the way to do that.

My Pick: Brock Bowers Over 71.5 Receiving Yards
