The Detroit Lions will face the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium on Sunday.

The Giants come into this game sitting second in the NFC East at 7-2, a record that seemed very unlikely before the season. The Lions are only 3-6, but it's been a season of promise for them as they get closer to being competitive again.

Our best bet for this game involves one of the Giants' most improved players taking advantage of one of the Lions big weaknesses.

The Lions may be 3-6, but they have a pair of young offensive stars who will be their cornerstones for years to come.

D'Andre Swift has been used cautiously since returning from injury, but he's still found the end zone twice in the past three weeks since that injury, despite a lower than average usage. Jamaal Williams isn't quite at his level, but he's good for spelling Swift.

Amon-Ra St. Brown has really exceeded the expectations that were had for him when he was drafted in the fourth round last year. He's recovering from his injury and just had his first 100-plus yard game since September. This could be a spot where St. Browns explodes.

The Giants' main offensive weapon is Saquon Barkley. Now that he's finally back to true fitness after his injury, he's showing why he's the most dynamic running back in the league. Barkley thrives in all aspects of the game for a running back and terrifies the opposition whenever he gets fed the rock.

It's the big boys up front who've helped the Giants renaissance this year and the line has been huge for them and is the root cause of most of their successes this year.

Betting Picks

Daniel Jones is without doubt the Lions most improved player. Coming into this season there were real question marks over whether Jones could be a franchise quarterback, but the leaps he's taken show he deserves at least another season.

One of Jones' best attributes is his athletic ability, and he's already accumulated 387 rushing yards on the season. His rushing yard line on Sunday is around 35.5 or 36.5 yards, a number he's only exceeded three times in nine weeks, but this is his week.

The Lions have given up 372 rushing yards to quarterbacks this season, the second highest amount in the league, and over 100 yards more than the Vikings who are in third place. This is a defense that consistently struggles to contain quarterbacks and Jones should be able to take advantage of that.

Pick: Jones Over 35.5 Rushing Yards | Bet to 42.5 Rushing Yards
