Jones has failed to step up as the Lions' WR2 behind Amon-Ra St. Brown. Last week, Kalif Raymond leapfrogged him on the depth chart, and Jones operated as the Lions' clear No. 3 receiver.

Jones saw a season-low 29% routes run rate in Week 3 and has failed to draw a single target over the last two games. In a game that could see Jared Goff under pressure more than usual, I don't expect him to have enough time to go through his progressions to get to Jones.

The easier matchup for the Lions will be over the middle of the field with Packers LB De'Vondre Campbell out. Look for Goff to lean on St. Brown, TE Sam LaPorta and RB Jahmyr Gibbs even more in this game. I'd also expect Josh Reynolds and Raymond to see most of the targets at WR that don't go to St. Brown.

I'm projecting Jones right at one catch with a median closer to 11.5.

This could be a rough night for the Packers' ground game. LT David Bakhtiari and LG Elgton Jenkins have already been ruled out, while RT Zach Tom is questionable.

Green Bay will get a boost if Aaron Jones does indeed return from a two-game absence for this game. Jones starred in Week 1 against the Bears, but hurt his hamstring on a late touchdown run.

Detroit has been tough against the run this season, though, and Jones hasn’t been an automatic pick to rush for more than this total. In 17 games last season, Jones eclipsed 47.5 rushing yards nine times.

This one, when he’ll be without at least two offensive linemen and possibly a third while coming off an injury, fits the description of a potentially slow day on the ground for Jones, who’s still more than capable of making an impact as a receiver.
