The Los Angeles Rams (3-4) and Seattle Seahawks (4-4) will meet in the late Sunday afternoon slate of NFL Week 9. Kickoff is set for 4:25 p.m. ET from Lumen Field in Seattle. The game will be broadcast live on FOX and can be streamed on YouTube TV and other streaming services. The Rams are 1.5-point favorites over the Seahawks (Rams -1.5) with the game total set at 48.5 points. The Rams are -125 on the moneyline to win outright, while Seattle is +105 to pull off the upset.
The Rams won 30-20 last week over the Vikings. Matthew Stafford finally came to life with the return of Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua, as he threw for 279 yards and 4 touchdowns last week, and LA has now won 2 straight games. The Seahawks lost 31-10 last week to the Bills. Geno Smith has really struggled the last 2 weeks, having thrown for less than 215 yards in back to back contests.
Let's get into my Rams vs. Seahawks prediction and my NFL picks for Week 9.
Rams vs. Seahawks Expert Picks
Spread
The Bills laid three points to the Seahawks last week, and now we have the Rams laying 1.5. Are we saying that the Rams are 1.5 points worse than the Bills? I think the gap is wider than that.
I'm going to take the points with Seattle and expect a bounce-back performance on Sunday against its divisional rival.
Moneyline
I'll take whatever points I can get with the Seahawks and pass on betting the moneyline.
Over/Under
I'm passing on a bet on this game's total.
My pick: Seahawks +1.5

Rams vs Seahawks NFL Week 9
Despite the Rams’ big win last week over the Vikings and getting Puka Nacua back, these are still two pretty evenly matched teams. I know DK Metcalf might remain out, but this is a good spot to back Seattle after a 20-point loss at home to the Bills.
The Seahawks are 16th in overall DVOA, 15th on offense, 14th on defense and 12th on special teams. The Rams, meanwhile, are 21st overall, 12th on offense, 28th on defense and 22nd on special teams. Obviously, you know down the Seahawks a little on offense without Metcalf and the Rams get a bump for simply getting healthier.
Even assuming Metcalf won’t be a factor here, this is a much better matchup for the Seahawks offense than the Bills. Geno Smith will be capable of moving the ball on a bottom-five defense with Kenneth Walker, Tyler Lockett and Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
The Seahawks playing a second straight home game definitely helps, and they’ll also be aided by a trend that says this is a time to bet against Sean McVay. When coming off a multi-game winning streak, McVay is 12-25 against the spread with the Rams.
McVay also had Pete Carroll’s number in this matchup in past years. I think highly of Mike Macdonald and believe he’ll be able to match up better against the Rams.
Last week, a lot of Seahawks fans were complaining about the lack of a home-field advantage against the Bills. That won’t be a problem against the Rams, whose fans will not be taking over Lumen Field in a similar fashion. I’m expecting a strong effort from what may be a desperate Seahawks team that is certainly in the mix in the NFC West.
Pick: Seahawks +1.5 (-110)
