MIAMI — He's baaaaaack.

You didn't think that Jim "Mattress Mack" McIngvale, best known as the furniture store magnate who bet millions of dollars on his beloved Houston Astros to win the World Series to hedge a promotion at his store, was going to sit out The Big Game, did you?

Of course he's not.

McIngvale flew to Vegas on Wednesday night to bet $1 million on the San Francisco 49ers to win the Super Bowl at +120. If he wins, McIngvale would net $1.2 million, which would help him offset costs from a promotion he's running at his Gallery Furniture stores.

GO NINERS! Buy a Tempur-Pedic Sleep Set of $3,000 or more and if the team from San Francisco WINS the BIG GAME on Sunday, February 2nd in Miami, receive 50% of YOUR MONEY BACK or 100% back in IN-STORE CREDIT! #biggame#sanfrancisco#miami#galleryfurniture

This isn't the first time McIngvale has bet against Kansas City during the playoffs. Two weeks ago, McIngvale flew to Biloxi, Mississippi to get a million dollars down on the Tennessee Titans (+300) against the Chiefs in the AFC Championship. A week before that, the Houston-based furniture mogul bet $1 million on the Houston Texans (+385) to defeat Kansas City.

It is unknown whether or not McIngvale is trying to get more money down on the Niners, but I'd say the smart money is on "Yes."
