In tonight’s Monday night showdown, Brandon Aiyuk will be asked again to step up in a more prominent role without Deebo Samuel and Christian McCaffrey possibly not at 100%.
In the 49ers' last two games since their bye, Aiyuk has hauled a team-high 23 targets, equating to 35.9% of the team’s target share – ranked only below Ja’Marr Chase and Stefon Diggs for most in the league. The Vikings have allowed the highest number of receptions against wide receivers (16.7), and Aiyuk has a 33% first-read share under Brock Purdy.

McCaffrey has scored a touchdown in 15 consecutive games, and he has the opportunity to break the NFL record of 16 tonight. This would put him ahead of O.J. Simpson, John Riggins and Emmitt Smith.
Although it would have been easier if there was no injury tag, I am willing to risk betting on McCaffrey despite knowing he is not fully fit. He has been consistently performing well since joining the 49ers, and I cannot afford to miss this opportunity to bet on a player who can break an NFL record if he gets the job done tonight.
