The Zach Wilson era is officially over in New York.
The former No. 2 overall pick is on the move after three seasons with the Jets.
New York has traded Wilson to the Denver Broncos for a late-round pick swap while the Jets take on some of his $5 million salary. Denver gives up a 6th-round pick and gets a 7th-round pick in return.

The Broncos have been in the market for a quarterback since trading away Russell Wilson to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Now, the Broncos have a different Wilson.
Wilson will compete for the starting quarterback job with Jarrett Stidham and Ben DiNucci for now. Denver will likely draft a quarterback in the NFL Draft this week.
The Broncos were +12000 to win the Super Bowl before acquiring Wilson and remain there after acquiring Wilson.
Wilson's tenure with the Jets was tumultuous. His rookie season showed signs of success. He started 13 games and threw for 2,334 yards with nine touchdowns and 11 interceptions, but it was all downhill from there as he lost his starting job in 2022 and was replaced by Aaron Rodgers in 2023. After Rodgers' injury, Wilson got another chance, but it ended poorly.
Now, he gets a change of scenery and gets to be closer to home.
