The New York Jets (0-1) and Tennessee Titans (0-1) meet on Sunday afternoon in NFL Week 2 action. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET from Nissan Stadium in Nashville on CBS, and the game can be streamed live on Paramount+. The Jets are favored by 3.5 points with the game total set at 42.
Robert Saleh's team is on a short week following their Monday night loss to the San Francisco 49ers, 32-19. Jordan Mason eviscerated New York's defense, rushing for 147 yards and a touchdown while the 49ers put together eight straight scoring drives.
After being injured four plays into the 2023 season, Aaron Rodgers made it through a full game with the Jets this time around, but it came in a 32-19 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football. Rodgers threw for 167 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception. Garrett Wilson caught 6 passes for 60 yards, while old Rodgers friend Allen Lazard has 6 catches, 89 yards, and 2 touchdowns. Running back Breece Hall finished with 93 total yards and a touchdown.
The Titans had a disappointing Week 1 as they blew a 17-point lead in a 24-17 loss to the Chicago Bears. Quarterback Will Levis threw for 127 yards, 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions, while new running back Tony Pollard had 82 yards rushing and 1 touchdown.

New York Jets vs. Tennessee Titans Preview, Expert Pick
This is mainly a fade of the Jets, who are coming off a tough loss across the country on Monday Night Football.
The 49ers offense wore out the New York defense in Week 1, limiting the Jets to less than 25 minutes of possession. I’m not expecting the Jets to be fresh here.
Also, for what it’s worth, teams coming off of a Monday Night Football road game that had to play on the road the following week are 12-21 straight-up and 13-20 against the spread over the past decade.
I am concerned about the Jets defense. The front seven was bullied by the 49ers offensive line, and I have some questions about the secondary. I think Sauce Gardner is the best cornerback in the NFL, but he was just benched for part of the loss at San Francisco. That makes no sense. I also have questions about the Jets’ other cornerbacks and safeties.
It would be ironic if the Jets were a quarterback away from winning over the past decade, only to get a quarterback in Aaron Rodgers and have the defense regress.
Speaking of Rodgers, he looked rusty in his first full game since January 2023. He was fine, but the offensive line needs to come together. It makes sense that unit struggled with so many new pieces.
On the other side, there were positives for the Titans in their brutal Week 1 loss to the Bears.
Tennessee contained Caleb Williams and frustrated him in his NFL debut. The Titans made some solid veteran additions in the offseason and added linebacker Ernest Jones at the end of training camp. It was a positive first game for that unit, which did not allow an offensive touchdown.
Best Bet for Jets vs. Titans
I’m betting on Rodgers and the Jets offense needing more time to really get going. This is also not a get-right matchup for them against a Titans defense that played very well last week.
Give me the Titans catching more than a field goal here.
Pick: Titans +4
