NFL Draft Odds: Caleb Williams Declares, Still the Favorite to Go No. 1

Caleb Williams will officially declare for the NFL Draft, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel. Today marks the final day that underclassmen can declare for the 2024 Draft.

The 2022 Heisman Trophy winner is an overwhelming favorite to be taken No. 1 overall in this year's draft at -850. The next closest player, Drake Maye, has +500 odds to be the No. 1 overall pick.

Williams did not have the same magical season in 2023 compared to his 2022 Heisman winning season. He finished with great numbers — 30 touchdowns and five interceptions — but USC couldn't find its fitting midway through the season after starting 6-0. The Trojans went 1-5 in the final six games, which included Williams' worst game of the season with three interceptions.

The Chicago Bears will have the No. 1 pick this season thanks to their trade with the Carolina Panthers and have a decision to make with quarterback Justin Fields who has a fifth-year option on his rookie contract.
