New Orleans starts a new era without Sean Payton, and there are plenty of reasons for optimism. Jameis Winston, who was thriving before suffering a torn ACL last year, is back, and he'll add Michael Thomas and rookie Chris Olave to his receiving corps. Atlanta, well, doesn't have the same positive outlook about its season.
49ers Odds | -6.5 |
Bears Odds | +6.5 |
Moneyline | -310 / +250 |
Over/Under | 41.5 |

The Trey Lance era officially begins in the Windy City. San Francisco fell one game short of the Super Bowl last season and is now all-in on last year's No. 3 overall pick. The Bears will hope their second-year QB takes a step forward, although the playmakers around Justin Fields have created doubts about Chicago this season.
Steelers Odds | +6.5 |
Bengals Odds | -6.5 |
Moneyline | +220 / -270 |
Over/Under | 44.5 |

While the Trey Lance era begins, it's fair to say this isn't the Mitch Trubisky era beginning for Pittsburgh. Still, Ben Roethlisberger is gone and Trubisky will start the season under center with rookie Kenny Pickett lurking. The Steelers face a tough test with the Bengals, who improved their offensive line and will look to build off a Super Bowl appearance.
Eagles Odds | -3.5 |
Lions Odds | +3.5 |
Moneyline | -198 / +166 |
Over/Under | 48.5 |

Both the Eagles and Lions are optimistic entering this season. Philadelphia added A.J. Brown to its offense and is hoping Jalen Hurts can take it to the next level: The playoffs. Detroit, meanwhile, is simply hoping to win seven or eight games. The Lions have plenty of offensive playmakers and No. 2 overall pick Aidan Hutchinson to lead the defense.
Patriots Odds | +2.5 |
Dolphins Odds | -2.5 |
Moneyline | +132 / -156 |
Over/Under | 46.5 |

New England hopes to give Mac Jones more responsibility in Year 2, as it looks to reclaim the AFC East. In Miami, expectations are high for the Dolphins' offense. Tua Tagovailoa has a new head coach in Mike McDaniel and a new elite weapon in Tyreek Hill. We'll find out if that's enough to best New England right away.
Ravens Odds | -6.5 |
Jets Odds | +6.5 |
Moneyline | -290 / +235 |
Over/Under | 44.5 |

There are injury concerns for both teams entering Week 1, although they're bigger for the Jets. QB Zach Wilson was the No. 2 overall pick last year, and New York will go as he goes this season. He recently had knee surgery, though, and his status for this game is unknown. Baltimore's uncertainty comes in the form of RB J.K. Dobbins, although the Ravens will have a healthy Lamar Jackson for this one.
Jaguars Odds | +3.5 |
Commanders Odds | -3.5 |
Moneyline | +138 / -164 |
Over/Under | 43.5 |

Something's gotta give in this one. It can't get much worse than last season for the Jaguars, who are hoping new head coach Doug Pederson will bring out the best in Trevor Lawrence. In Washington, the Commanders have put their faith in Carson Wentz — a bold strategy.
Browns Odds | +2.5 |
Panthers Odds | -2.5 |
Moneyline | +118 / -138 |
Over/Under | 41.5 |

One of two potential revenge games this week. Baker Mayfield will hope he can lead his new team, the Panthers, against the Browns, who traded for Deshaun Watson and gave him a fully guaranteed contract while Mayfield was on the roster.
Colts Odds | -8.5 |
Texans Odds | +8.5 |
Moneyline | -360 / +290 |
Over/Under | 45.5 |

Matt Ryan will begin his Colts career in Houston against a Texans roster that looks … underwhelming. Don't expect the Texans to be favored in any game this season. This season will be a success if they're positioned to draft an elite quarterback prospect in 2023 or Davis Mills takes a step forward.
Giants Odds | +5.5 |
Titans Odds | -5.5 |
Moneyline | +198 / -240 |
Over/Under | 43.5 |
Time | Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET |

Can Brian Daboll put Daniel Jones on a positive career path? That's what the Giants are banking on. The new head coach has a tough first test in his debut, facing last year's top seed in the AFC. Derrick Henry is healthy, but the Titans' offense faces uncertainty in the passing game without A.J. Brown.
Packers Odds | -2.5 |
Vikings Odds | +2.5 |
Moneyline | -126 / +108 |
Over/Under | 48.5 |

America's Game of the Week. Matt LaFleur has won 13 regular-season games in each of his first three years in Green Bay, but people are skeptical due to underwhelming analytics and the loss of wide receiver Davante Adams. The Vikings, though, have a new offensive-minded head coach in Kevin O'Connell, who fans hope can unleash Kirk Cousins and take Minnesota's offense to the next level.
Chiefs Odds | -3.5 |
Cardinals Odds | +3.5 |
Moneyline | -198 / +166 |
Over/Under | 53.5 |
Time | Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET |
TV | CBS |

Like the Packers, the Chiefs have to replace their top receiver with Tyreek Hill in Miami now. Kansas City faces a tough trip to the desert, where Kyler Murray will make his first start after "Studygate" and his new contract extension. Kansas City is favored because Patrick Mahomes is Patrick Mahomes, and any potential decrease in production from the Chiefs' offense needs to be seen before believing.
Raiders Odds | +3.5 |
Chargers Odds | -3.5 |
Moneyline | +148 / -176 |
Over/Under | 52.5 |
Time | Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET |
TV | CBS |

This game is a rematch of last year's Week 18 matchup that saw the winner get into the playoffs. Las Vegas won that game, but people are much higher on the Chargers entering this season. Los Angeles added OLB Khalil Mack and CB J.C. Jackson to bolster a defense that was below average last year, while the Raiders traded for Davante Adams and have a new head coach in Josh McDaniels. This one should be good.
Buccaneers Odds | -1.5 |
Cowboys Odds | +1.5 |
Moneyline | -124 / +106 |
Over/Under | 50.5 |

Tom Brady against "America's Team" is about what you'd expect for the first Sunday Night Football game of the season. Brady, as you may have heard, took an unexplained, but excused, weeklong leave from training camp last month, which has people debating how high they should be on Tampa Bay. The Cowboys, meanwhile, are the favorites in the NFC East and should be strong on both sides of the ball.
Broncos Odds | -6.5 |
Seahawks Odds | +6.5 |
Moneyline | -255 / +210 |
Over/Under | 42.5 |

This is the second revenge game I mentioned earlier, although this time it'll be the QB's former team with the most motivation. After 10 seasons and a 104-53-1 record with Seattle, Wilson is now leading a Broncos team that seems like it's been a quarterback away over the past couple years. The Seahawks are expected to be among the NFL's cellar-dwellers this season, but they'll no doubt be looking to ruin Wilson's Broncos debut.
