The New York Jets had finally given themselves the inside track to the NFL playoffs, but consecutive losses against the Vikings and the Bills now make them outsiders again.
As it currently stands, the Jets are +165 to make the playoffs over at BetMGM, with a -200 miss number. Prior to Week 14, they were +105 to make the postseason.
Another notable mover on the week was the Detroit Lions, who went the other direction after securing a divisional victory over the Vikings. Detroit entered the week at +550 to make the playoffs entering, but the Lions dropped to +240 following the win.
The Lions have garnered 93% of the wagers and 96% of the handle on their make/miss playoffs prop on the yes side, so this was a rather positive development for most bettors.
Detroit and the Jets will actually meet this Sunday, so the game will provide us a great look at which team truly has a chance at the postseason.
Continuing on the positive side, the Panthers moved all the way from +1000 to +310 after beating the Seahawks. Seattle, on the other hand, dropped from a -550 favorite position all the way down to -145.
