Betting an NFL parlay via Anytime Touchdown Scorers is incredibly fun, even if they’re mostly a losing proposition that will drain your bankroll if you’re not careful. Most sportsbooks tend to clean up on this type of bet, so how do we scratch the “parlay itch” without overextending ourselves financially?
Allow me to introduce “The 180 Challenge.” Here’s how it works.
Every week, I'll be betting a 3-leg NFLAnytime TD parlay that equates to +1800 or more. $10 per parlay ticket, $180 total for the season.
The goal is to win as much as possible. But the safety net is, you only need to hit one parlay all season to make your money back. If you go 0-18 (which is unfortunate), the positive spin is it's only $180.
This way, we can still participate with fun touchdown parlays while managing our bankroll and not going overboard on bad spending habits. We hit our first 22-1 parlay of the season back in Week 6, and then followed that up with another 20-1 winner in Week 10. That means we’re playing with house money the rest of the season, for those following along.
Disclaimer: 18-1 parlays have less than 5% chance of hitting, and that percentage only shrinks as you increase the parlay odds. Keep your expectations in check and bet on these for recreation.
Continue below for my NFL parlay picks for Week 13.
NFL Parlay Week 13
- Drake London Anytime TD Scorer (+155)
- Tank Dell Anytime TD Scorer (+250)
- Mike Evans Anytime TD Scorer (+130)
Parlay Odds: +1952 (DraftKings)
Chargers vs. Falcons Parlay Leg
Falcons WR Drake London has scored six touchdowns so far this season, and all six of those scores came in the red zone.
London is tied for third in the NFL in red zone targets, with 16 on the season.
The Chargers defense has began to slip recently, especially in the secondary, as they've surrendered seven passing touchdowns in the last three games, with five of those touchdowns coming against the opposing WR1.
Expect London to get back on track with the Falcons coming off a bye week.
Texans vs. Jaguars Parlay Leg
Tank Dell has only scored two touchdowns so far this season. However, this is a great matchup for Dell and the Houston passing attack.
Both of Dell's touchdowns this season came against man coverage, and the Jaguars play man coverage at a top-three rate in the NFL.
The Jaguars defense also ranks 32nd in defensive DVOA against the pass and 31st against the deep ball, which bodes particularly well for Dell, who leads the Texans in aDOT.
And for what it’s worth, Dell managed to score a touchdown when the Texans visited Jacksonville last season.
Buccaneers vs. Panthers Parlay Leg
Mike Evans looked great in his return from injury for the Buccaneers last week, so I expect to see his volume of snaps and targets to rise quickly moving forward.
The Panthers defense isn't scaring anyone. They rank 29th in defensive DVOA against the pass and in the bottom five in passing touchdowns allowed.
Carolina also plays zone coverage at a top-seven rate in the NFL, which is good news for Evans, who leads the Bucs with the three touchdowns against zone defense this season.
I'll back Evans to find the end zone in a favorable matchup against the Panthers this week.
