Betting NFL parlays via Anytime Touchdown Scorers is incredibly fun, even if they’re mostly a losing proposition that will drain your bankroll if you’re not careful. Most sportsbooks tend to clean up on this type of bet, so how do we scratch the “parlay itch” without overextending ourselves financially?
Allow me to introduce “The 180 Challenge.” Here’s how it works:
Each week, I'll be betting a three-leg Anytime TD parlay that equates to +1800 or more. $10 per parlay ticket, $180 total for the season.
The goal is obviously to win as much as possible. But the safety net is you only need to hit one parlay all season to make your money back. If you go 0-18 (which is unfortunate), the positive spin is it's only $180. This way, we can still participate with fun touchdown parlays while managing our bankroll and not going overboard on bad spending habits. So far, I’m 0-6 this season but only down $60 and we’ve gotten really close in Weeks 3 and 5 with two of my three touchdown scorers hitting.
Disclaimer: 18-1 parlays have less than 5% chance of hitting, and that percentage only shrinks as you increase the parlay odds. Keep your expectations in check and bet on these for recreation.
Read below for my +2200 NFL parlay picks for Week 6 at DraftKings.
NFL Parlay Week 6
- A.J. Brown Anytime Touchdown (+180)
- Justin Fields Anytime Touchdown (+210)
- Diontae Johnson Anytime Touchdown (+165)
Parlay Odds: +2200 (DraftKings)
A.J. Brown is expected to return from injury for the Eagles this week, and he's coming back to a great matchup.
The Browns have allowed four touchdowns to opposing wide receivers over their last three games, and they rank 24th in defensive DVOA against opposing WR1s.
Brown tends to shine against man coverage. Well, fortunately for him, Cleveland has played man at the highest rate in the NFL entering this week. He should be able to take the top off on the Cleveland defense in this matchup.
Steelers QB Justin Fields has already scored three rushing touchdowns this season, and I think this may be another solid spot for him.
Fields has already tallied 10 red-zone carries this year, which ranks third in the league among all QBs.
On the flip side, the Raiders' run defense hasn't been very good this season, ranked 27th in defensive DVOA against the run on the year.
If Fields keeps getting the bulk of red-zone work instead of Najee Harris, he should be able to score again in this one.
Diontae Johnson got turned away by the Bears last week, as the Panthers wideout failed to find the end zone in an ugly 36-10 road loss in Chicago.
This week, however, he gets the Falcons, who have been getting cooked by opposing WR1s lately.
The Falcons have surrendered three TDs to the opposing teams' top wideout in their last four games.
Johnson has 33 targets in three games with Andy Dalton at QB, and he's seen at least one red zone target in every game this season.
