A champion will be crowned Super Bowl Sunday between the Chiefs and Eagles. The undisputed winner of NFL's off week, however, was Ronnie Rivers.
Rivers, a rookie running back on the Los Angeles Rams, hit an incredible jackpot this past Saturday, Feb. 4, in Three Card Poker at Caesars Palace Las Vegas.
The haul? $514,837.
There's no word if Rivers picked up the tab this past Saturday at Caesars; that's just sort of a rule when you're raking six figures on a Saturday night in Vegas.
Rivers told FOX5, however, he plans to buy a house with the winnings.
Rivers' base salary contract in 2022 was $705,000 and he's slated to make $870,000 in 2023.
Rivers was a standout at Fresno State. He amassed 100 rushing attempts in five straight seasons and registered 10-plus rushing scores in two.
He didn't land a job in this past NFL Draft, but signed with the Cardinals as an undrafted before landing with his hometown Rams.
Rivers took eight of his nine carries this past regular season in 31-14 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Overall, he piled up 22 yards on the ground.
Winning nearly your entire base salary in one Vegas jackpot might be the best highlight on Rivers' reel to date.
