After a win in a primetime, stand-alone spot against the Dallas Cowboys on opening night and a Sunday clunker from the Atlanta Falcons, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers open Week 2 as the biggest favorite on the betting board.
According to odds released at PointsBet, Tampa Bay is a 13.5-point favorite against NFC South rival Atlanta. The Falcons lost at home to the Eagles on Sunday, 32-6. Tampa Bay won 31-29 on Thursday Night Football and will be on extra rest.
The matchup also features one of six games with totals opening in the 50's. At time of publish, the total was 52.
Despite the short week and change at quarterback due to injury, the Washington Football Team has seen plenty of early support in the market. Washington, which will be without starting QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, opened as a 3-point favorite but has already moved to a 4-point favorite against the New York Giants.
A couple road favorites will likely be popular public plays this week. The Patriots are 5-point favorites in New York against the Jets, while the other two AFC East teams meet in Miami where the Bills are 3.5-point favorites. Another intra-divisional matchup, the Saints are 3-point road favorites against the Carolina Panthers.
Elsewhere, the Rams are road favorites against the Colts, Denver is up to a 6-point favorite at Jacksonville, and the 49ers are giving 3.5 points to the Eagles in Philadelphia.
With Monday Night Football still to go, the Ravens are 2.5-point home dogs to the Kansas City Chiefs. That game also owns the highest total of the week thus far at 55, which is the same as the Chargers and Cowboys.
