I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling like I need another year of Eras Tour shows after last weekend. I almost fainted when I realized there was a new Reputation bodysuit. I nearly cried at the Debutation surprise song mashup night two. And wow the rain was a paid actor on both Friday and Sunday.
Oh and the Chiefs went 6–0 … what a weekend for Tayvis and the fans.
There are only THREE weeks left to enter TixPick6 for a chance to win a trip for two to the Eras Tour in Vancouver!

On Stage Taylor Swift Picks for Week 8
This week Taylor is heading to NOLA to perform at the Caesars Superdome, the site of Super Bowl LIX. We’re running it back with the same questions as last week — Sunday Surprise Song Eras and special guests.
Last weekend was filled with mashups from Debut, Fearless, Speak Now, 1989, Reputation, Lover, folklore and The Tortured Poets Department. That means the only Eras that didn’t make it to the Surprise Song set were Red, evermore and Midnights.
Let’s break down the different point values for surprise songs from each of the Eras:
- 3-Point Eras: Debut, folklore, evermore, other (a song not on any of her albums)
- 2-Point Eras: Fearless, Speak Now, Reputation, Lover
- 1-Point Eras: Red, 1989, Midnights, The Tortured Poets Department
The Eras have different point values to try to mimic betting a bit. You could go with the Eras that have been used most often, but you might only get 2 points. Or you could take a risk and go for the Eras used a bit less and get up to 6 entries … or get none. At this point for me, it’s go big or else I’ll have to stay home and not see the Eras Tour again so I’m all for the risk if it means a higher reward.
This week I’m feeling evermore and Debut, but like last week this could change depending what happens on Friday and Saturday. Check back in on Sunday for an update on what surprise songs were played nights one and two.
The next question is whether or not there will be a surprise guest. Because Florence & the Machine has been a guest during the set list in the last four shows, she does not count as a special guest this week. It would have to be someone other than her.
I’m rooting for chaos and special guests so I’m saying yes because I don’t want to root against anything I don’t actually want.
The Picks:
- Surprise Songs: evermore, Debut
- Special Guest? Yes
On the Field Betting Picks for Chiefs vs. Raiders
The Chiefs are heading back to the stadium where they won their last Super Bowl to face the Las Vegas Raiders. How poetic that Travis will be there while Taylor is performing at the stadium Travis hopes to win ring No. 4.
Last year, the Raiders were the team that stole Christmas from the Chiefs, Travis and Taylor when they beat Kansas City 20-14. This season, the Chiefs are undefeated while the Raiders are 2-5. The Chiefs haven't looked quite like the team their record would imply, but they did just trade for wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, which should make a difference.
Also, the Raiders’ newest member of the ownership team, Tom Brady, checked out the Eras Tour in Miami last week and claimed himself to be a "Reputation guy."
The Spread — Kansas City -9.5 | Las Vegas Raiders +9.5
The point spread is a number set by oddsmakers almost like a “handicap.” It’s basically the expected final score difference. Teams with a + number are the underdog, and a – number means they’re the favorite.
If you choose Kansas City, you’re choosing the favorite and think that the Chiefs will win by at least 10 points. If you choose Las Vegas, you’re backing the underdog and think the Raiders will win or lose by less than 10 points.
Most of the bets and the money are on Kansas City right now, according to our PRO Report. The number of bets typically correlates to what the public is betting and the amount of money correlates to what the professional gamblers, or sharps, are betting.
I often like to be a contrarian and do the opposite in this scenario, but the Raiders have had a hard time keeping games close. According to our Director of Research Evan Abrams, they have fallen behind by double digits in each of the first seven games of the season. They are just the fourth team to do that in the last 30 years.
So I’m siding with the public and the sharps and taking Chiefs -9.5.
The Total — Over 41.5 or Under 41.5 Points
Once again, we’re picking over/under on the point total. This is just guessing whether or not you think more or less points than 41.5 will be scored in the game by both teams. Similar to the spread, both the public and the sharps are on the over. This might be one I join them on, if only because I want a fun, high-scoring game and Patrick Mahomes was just given another weapon in DeAndre Hopkins.
It’s a lean on the over for me, but will make a final decision closer to Sunday.
Will Travis Kelce score a touchdown?
Travis went another week without reaching the end zone. Will Travis make it all the way to November without scoring? It’s hard to say, but one of these weeks it has to happen! … Right?
I’m sticking with it and saying this is the week it happens.
