For the 1 p.m. ET slate of games in the NFL for Week 8, Action Labs shows value on player props in every game. I've chosen two to highlight on Rhamondre Stevenson and Kirk Cousins.
These picks have been made using Sean Koerner's expert projections at Action Labs. Let's see if we can find some value in the numbers for Week 8's early slate.
Rhamondre Stevenson
Over 15.5 Receiving Yards (PointsBet)
Stevenson has gone over this total in three of his last five games, and the two times he didn’t saw him get 14 and 15 yards in the air.
Even though Damien Harris has returned, Stevenson is still the pass-catching RB in the Patriots backfield. Last week, he racked up the targets as New England played catchup with the Bears.
Over his last five games, Stevenson is averaging 6.3 yards per catch. In four of those games, he’s had four or more receptions. The only game he didn’t hit those marks saw him run for 161 yards in a shutout win over the Lions.
Stevenson’s best receiving yards total as of Saturday afternoon is 15.5 at PointsBet. Action Labs has pegged him for 21.9 against the Jets.
Kirk Cousins
Under 270.5 Passing Yards (PointsBet)
This is a fade of Cousins and also a backing of the Cardinals defense.
For starters, Cousins has gone over this total three times in the Vikings’ six games this season. There’s no huge edge there, obviously.
Here’s the stat that will convince you (it convinced me): The Cardinals have held opposing QBs under their passing yards total in 20 of their last 23 games. Last week, Andy Dalton went over his total because of an early touchdown and a big deficit that saw the Saints air it out late. That was a bit of a flukey result, though, due to the big play I the first quarter and the two pick sixes he threw at the end of the first half.
Also, who doesn’t love betting against Cousins? Here’s your way to do it in Week 8.
