Preseason Win Total: 5.5

The Cardinals' unfortunate season was huge for a public who faded them heading into the season. There was significant juice on the under (-150), but bettors weren't deterred, as 70% of tickets and 83% of the money faded Arizona according to BetMGM.

Atlanta Falcons (7-10)

Preseason Win Total: 7.5

This one came down to the final week, and Atlanta stunk it up in a 48-17 loss, which ended up costing the public. 57% of tickets were on the over while 73% of the money was on the Falcons winning at least eight games.

Baltimore Ravens (13-4)

Preseason Win Total: 8.5

Baltimore secured a winning record in five of the previous six seasons heading into 2023, so it’s not shocking that the over came with significant juice. It was the second-most popular over in terms of total tickets (76%) and ninth-most in terms of handle (75%).

Buffalo Bills 11-6

Preseason Win Total: 10.5

It was a roller-coaster ride for the Bills, but they surged down the stretch to hit the over in their last game of the year. It was an extremely popular pick, as 70% of the handle and 72% of the money was on it despite a decent amount of juice at -130.

Carolina Panthers (2-15)

Preseason Win Total: 7.5

The Panthers were the most popular bet among the public to go under their projected total, with 87% of all bets and 97% of the money hammering it. They ended up being right, as Carolina finished with the league’s worst record and fired head coach Frank Reich after just 11 games.

Chicago Bears (7-10)

Preseason Win Total: 7.5

The Bears finished the season strong, but fell in the season finale to go under their win total. The public was split on Chicago heading into the season, with 55% of the money on the under yet the total handle split 50-50.

Cincinnati Bengals (9-8)

Preseason Win Total: 11.5

The Bengals were one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl. Instead, their hopes were derailed after Joe Burrow suffered a season-ending wrist injury in Week 11. The public was split on them going into the season, with 51% of the tickets and exactly half of the money on the over.

Cleveland Browns (11-6)

Preseason Win Total: 9.5

Somehow the Browns managed to hit the over despite starting five different starting quarterbacks. Joe Flacco guided Cleveland to the playoffs after sitting on the coach until late November and not seeing any action until December. While 58% of tickets were on the over, 51% of the money was on Cleveland going under.

Dallas Cowboys (12-5)

Preseason Win Total: 9.5

The Cowboys cruised to the over with a dominating season from start to finish. The public was all over Dallas, with 76% of the handle and 80% of the money backing the over.

Denver Broncos (8-9)

Preseason Win Total: 8.5

Sean Payton's first year in Denver didn't lack for drama, headlined by the very public benching of Russell Wilson with two games remaining. The win total came down to the final game, but Jared Stidham couldn't lead the Broncos to victory, dealing a crushing blow to a public that had 73% of all bets and 71% of money on the over.

Detroit Lions (12-5)

Preseason Win Total: 9.5

The Lions had double-digit victories for the first time since 2014 to hit their over. They also captured the NFC North crown for the very first time. The last time they won their division was in 1993 while a member of the then-NFC Central.

Green Bay Packers (9-8)

Preseason Win Total: 7.5

Jordan Love proved he's Green Bay's quarterback of the future in his first year taking over for Aaron Rodgers. The public believed in him, with 61% of all bets and 69% of the money backing the over.

Houston Texans (10-7)

Preseason Win Total: 5.5

Houston was the first team to have a win total decided, going over the set line of 5.5 in Week 11’s win over the Arizona Cardinals. 51% of the bets backed C.J. Stroud to turn the Texans around, but only the 41% of the money poured in on it.

Indianapolis Colts (9-8)

Preseason Win Total: 6.5

The Colts hit the over despite losing starting quarterback Anthony Richardson early in the year. The public was on the wrong side of this one, as 78% of bets and 61% of the money was on them going under.

Jacksonville Jaguars (9-8)

Preseason Win Total: 9.5

The Jaguars collapsed in epic fashion, missing the playoffs and failing to hit their win total after appearing to be a shoo-in to do so. Jacksonville sat at eight wins with six games remaining. Unfortunately, they lost five of them to cost bettors dearly. 75% of tickets and 62% of the money was on the over.

Kansas City Chiefs (11-6)

Preseason Win Total: 11.5

Kansas City cruised to an eighth straight AFC West title, which is the second-longest streak for a division winner in NFL history. However, the Chiefs were far from the juggernaut we're used to seeing and failed to hit their projected win total. It was a bloodbath for the public, as only 16% of tickets and 15% of the money backed the under.

Las Vegas Raiders (8-9)

Preseason Win Total: 7.5

Antonio Pierce did everything he could to convince Mark Davis to make him the Raiders' full-time coach, winning the season finale to go over their win total. However, it cost the public dearly, as 67% of bets and 75% of the money was on the under.

A disastrous year for the Chargers led them to blow up the brain trust, as they fired head coach Brandon Staley and general manager Tom Telesco after a 63-21 Week 15 loss to the Raiders. The public is seemingly high on Los Angeles each year, and those backing the Chargers struck out once again, as only 29% of tickets and 18% of the money was on the under.

Preseason Win Total: 7.5

It was supposed to be a rebuilding year for the Rams, but Sean McVay's team is instead heading to the playoffs as a wild card team. They didn't have a ton of believers heading into the season, as 51% of bets were on the over but 65% of the money on the under.

Going over 9.5 wins was never really in doubt, as the Dolphins blew away the competition for most of the year.  The team stumbled down the stretch, but still easily hit the over.

Things went so south in New England that a sizeable portion of Patriots fans are calling for Bill Belichick's head as the season comes to an end. However, they didn't have many believers heading into the year anyway, as 88% of the money backed the under on their win total.

Derek Carr didn't quite spark the team the way New Orleans envisioned as they fell well short of double-digit wins. The public whiffed on the Saints, as 79% of all tickets backed the over.

You know it was a miserable season when Tommy DeVito's cup of coffee as a cult hero was the only thing to write home about. The public got crushed, as 69% of the bets and 75% of the money was on the over.

New York saw its much-hyped season crash and burn just four plays into the year when Aaron Rodgers tore his Achilles. They managed to tread water the first half of the season, but the wheels came off as Zach Wilson crashed and burned in the spotlight. The Seahawks eked out the over by the skin of their teeth as the Cardinals' potential game-winning field goal drifted wide right Sunday. It was enormous for the public, who hammered Seattle's over with 82% of bets and 87% of the money.
