A large group of Packers fans lost big last night when the New York Jets beat the Buffalo Bills in overtime.

That's because at Jack's American Pub in Milwaukee, patrons would have their drinks paid for if the Jets lost to the Bills. It was an opportunity to fade Aaron Rodgers, the Packers' longtime quarterback who packed up and went to New York.

Packers fans felt ultra confident when Rodgers went down in the game's opening minutes, and people started piling on the drinks.

But with 4:48 to go, the Jets scored a touchdown to equal the score at 13. A go-ahead field goal was matched by the Bills to take the game into overtime. The Bills won the coin toss, but the Jets forced a three-and-out and Jets rookie Xavier Gipson returned the punt for a game-winning touchdown.

As a local news reporter went on the air to talk about the promotion, the Jets won, and surrounding bargoers realized they would have to pay for every drink they had ordered.

This is incredible. A Wisconsin bar offered free drinks if the Jets lost. After Rodgers went down, they started running up their tabs. The news was live when the jets won in overtime and everyone realized they had to pay. pic.twitter.com/1QDVJq9Zlr

Every person who locked into the promotion got a wristband and had to put their credit card down, bartender Marcela Dougherty told the Action Network. When the Jets won, all the credit cards were charged. Dougherty said the bar was packed to capacity.

"A lot of people were surprised," Dougherty said Tuesday afternoon. "But considering how it happened, people handled it well."

The promotion was only valid if Aaron Rodgers started.

"It did say that in the fine print," Dougherty said. "I assume we'll have a discussion now to see if we'll still do this with Jets games going forward."
