The Panthers (1-3)  face the Bears (2-2) in Week 5 of the NFL season, with kickoff set for 1:00 p.m. ET at Soldier Field in Chicago. Here's an early look at the Panthers vs. Bears odds, spread and total for this Sunday afternoon matchup.

The Bears are 3.5-point favorites over the Panthers in the latest NFL odds for Week 5, with the over/under set at 43.5.

Panthers

Carolina’s offense looked much improved again under Andy Dalton, but it wasn’t enough as they fell to the Bengals in Week 5, 34-24.

While the quarterback switch has garnered a lot of attention, Chuba Hubbard’s been a revelation on the ground. He churned out over 100 yards on the ground for the second-straight game, carrying the ball 18 times for 104 yards and a touchdown. The Panthers are 1-3, both SU and ATS.

Bears

Chicago improved to .500 after beating the Rams 24-18. Caleb Williams continues to improve from week to week, but it was D’Andre Swift who was the big story for the Bear’s offense.

The running back had 165 yards from scrimmage, carrying the ball 16 times for 93 yards and a touchdown while catching seven passes for 72 yards. The defense also had another strong game, notching three sacks and two turnovers. The Bears are 2-2 SU and 3-1 ATS.
