This article contains predictions for an old game.

The Philadelphia Eagles (3-2) and New York Giants (2-4) will kick off NFL Week 7's Sunday afternoon slate. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., on FOX. The game can be streamed live on YouTube TV and other streaming platforms.

The Eagles are consensus 3-point favorites over the Giants on the spread (Eagles -3), with the over/under currently at 42.5. Philadelphia is -165 on the moneyline to win outright, while New York is +140 to pull off the upset.

Philadelphia won 20-16 over the Browns last week. Jalen Hurts threw for 264 yards and 2 touchdowns, while A.J. Brown returned with 116 receiving yards and a touchdown. The Giants lost 17-7 to the Bengals. Daniel Jones struggled, averaging 5 yards per pass attempt without a passing touchdown.

Let's get into my Eagles vs. Giants predictions and my NFL picks for Sunday Week 7.

  • Eagles vs. Giants spread: Eagles -3

  • Eagles vs. Giants moneyline: Eagles -165, Giants +140
  • Eagles vs. Giants best bet: Eagles -3

Spread

The market is underrating the Eagles here, so I'm laying the field goal. I also am betting against Daniel Jones in a spot he's been a strong fade candidate throughout his career: playing at home.

Moneyline

I'm laying the points and not betting the Eagles moneyline.

Over/Under

My projection for this game is 41, but I'm staying away from betting this total.

My pick: Eagles -3

Eagles vs. Giants NFL Week 7 Preview

There are multiple injuries on both sides that are worth noting. The Eagles are preparing to be without offensive tackle Jordan Mailata and tight end Dallas Goedert. The Giants have suffered the bigger blows with wide receiver Malik Nabers’ status still uncertain, although he’s trending toward playing.

The big loss for the Giants is offensive tackle Andrew Thomas. He’s so essential to this offense functioning well.

Without Thomas, the offense that Brian Daboll can call for Daniel Jones totally changes. Even if Nabers returns, Jones is going to face consistent pressure and the play-calls will be geared toward him getting rid of the ball.

The Giants had Nabers against the Commanders and Cowboys earlier this season and combined for 33 points in those games. The rookie receiver is great, but he’s not Superman.

I think this Eagles team is underrated in the market. Jalen Hurts is fourth in the NFL in completion rate over expectation, and that’s with some significant injuries to the Eagles offense. A.J. Brown missed three games, DeVonta Smith missed one and another quarter, and Goedert essentially missed all of last week’s win over the Browns. With both receivers back, I think we see Hurts take a step forward this week.

In my opinion, the Eagles are getting too much flack for only beating the Browns by four points last week. It was 10-3 in Philly’s favor right before halftime when Myles Garrett blocked a field goal that the Browns returned for a touchdown. That’s a 10-point swing from a 13-3 halftime lead to going in tied 10-10. If the reliable Jake Elliott makes the kick, that game might end up a blowout.

Also, the Eagles defense played great and didn’t give up an offensive touchdown to the Browns last week.

Jones is also always a fade candidate at home. He’s 14-19 in his career against the spread (ATS) at home, failing to cover by 3.8 points per game. When playing a second straight home game in his career, Jones is 1-4 ATS and has failed to cover by 6.2 points per game.

Pick: Eagles -3
