The NFL playoffs are almost here.
Wild-card matchups will be set this Sunday, but as of now, there are 18 total possible variations between the AFC and NFC. So to give you an idea of what to expect from the market once the bracket is set, I've projected tentative odds for each potential matchup.
Note that how teams play in Week 17 — as well as other factors such as injuries — could shift these ratings, so I would urge you to not bet any lines based on the following projections until I have a chance to tweak them once the matchups are finalized.
Projected AFC Wild-Card Betting Odds
Below are my projected spreads and over/unders for the 11 possible AFC wild-card matchups.
Note that the only locked seeds are the Ravens at No. 1 and the Bills at No. 5, though all the Patriots need to secure the 2-seed is a win against the Dolphins. In that scenario, the Chiefs would finish as the 3-seed with a victory against the Chargers while the Texans would round out the top-four.
The Titans enter the week at No. 6, though the Steelers and Raiders still have outside chances at the AFC's final spot.
