  • Using the Action Network's betting tools, we've analyzed how sharp bettors are hitting Rams vs. Panthers Sunday (1 p.m. ET, FOX).

My sweet, sweet heavens.

There's NFL football tomorrow.

This is exciting news for mostly everyone in America, of course excluding all the little boys and girls waking up in Terre Haute in their Andrew Luck jerseys, pillows soaked in tears.

More and more action is coming in on the Week 1 slate from both sharps and squares alike, and if there's one Week 1 game that personifies "Pros vs. Joes", it's probably Rams vs. Panthers.

Rams vs. Panthers Sharp Report

Let us first break down the basic facts about this NFC showdown. The Rams are coming off a 13-3 season in which they made it to the Super Bowl. The Panthers are coming off a 7-9 season in which went 1-7 in the second half and Cam Newton couldn't throw the ball more than a few yards down the field.

With the opening line set at Rams -3, who do you think the public is going to like?

Yes, the Rams are easily the more popular choice with 74% of spread bets. With that kind of support, you'd expect the line to move up to -3.5, -4 or even higher.

Instead, it's down to -2.5 because the sharps love the Panthers like those poor Terre Haute toddlers used to love life before Andrew Luck retired.

More than 50% of the cash has come in on the Panthers, which is double the ticket percentage.

Perhaps even more interesting is the fact that two reverse line moves were tracked on the Sports Insights' odds page late Tuesday afternoon, marking the 12th and 13th Bet Signals we've tracked on the Panthers over the past few months. Just two have come in on the Rams in total.

The Panthers getting three points is one of our Sean Koerner's favorite Week 1 plays. He's a sharp fella, that Sean Koerner. You ought'a listen to him.
