UPDATE: Rams head coach Sean McVay announced Monday that Puka Nukua suffered a knee sprain against the Lions and will be placed on IR. He'll miss at least four weeks.

Puka Nacua authored a historic rookie season, setting records for receptions (105) and receiving yards (1,486) in a player’s first year.

Unfortunately, he left the Rams Week 1 game against the Lions with a knee injury suffered in the first half.

Nacua attempted to come back, but was eventually carted off and ruled out at halftime. He caught four passes for 35 yards before departing and was well on his way to surpassing his prop bets of 7.5 catches and 73.5 receiving yards.

Nacua finished second in Rookie of the Year voting last season behind C.J. Stroud. He earned two first-place votes while Stroud received the other 48. Nacua hauled in six touchdowns to go along with his 105 catches and 1,486 yards during his memorable 2023 campaign. He also showed out in the Rams’ playoff loss to the Lions, catching nice passes for 181 yards and a touchdown.
