The Patriots and Saints weren’t able to pull off the upsets, let alone cover on Sunday.

However, those who backed the rookie quarterback prop market in their first career starts cleaned up in a major way.

Third-overall pick Drake Maye got the nod for the Patriots due to Jacoby Brissett’s ineffectiveness. Meanwhile, Spencer Rattler was thrust into action after Derek Carr suffered an oblique injury.  However, regardless of why they were under center, they rewarded those who believed in them across the board.

Maye completed 20-of-33 for 243 yards and three touchdowns in New England’s 41-21 loss. He cruised over the consensus total of 167.5 passing yards by 75.5 yards. He also eclipsed his completion and attempts lines by 2.5. Meanwhile, the line for his longest completion was 30.5. He had multiple passes over that mark, with the longest being a 40-yard TD pass to Kayshon Boutte. Maye also helped the Patriots go over their team total of 15.5 points as New England put up 21 in the loss.

Maye also crushed his props on the ground, carrying the ball five times for 38 yards. He was the team’s leading rusher as his 38 yards easily passed the 16.5-line. His longest run went for 15 yards, while the line was set at 12.5.

Meanwhile, Rattler completed 22-of-40 passes for 243 yards, one touchdown, and two picks in New Orleans’ 51-27 loss. He easily went over the 180.5 yards at DraftKings by 62.5 yards. He also went over the set line of 17.5 completions by 4.5 and smashed the attempts line of 28.5 by 11.5. Meanwhile, his 41-yard pass to Foster Moreau hit the over on his longest completion (31.5). Rattler also led the Saints to 27 points – which all happened to come in the second quarter – to easily hit the team total set at 18.5.

Rattler also rewarded backers with his feet, running the ball four times for 27 yards with a long of 16. His line for rushing yards was 15.5 with a long of 9.5.

Maye's next game comes against the Jaguars in London, while Rattler's is Thursday night when the Saints host the Broncos in the Sean Payton Bowl.
