Patrick Mahomes doesn't scare me anymore.

These aren't the same Chiefs.

So when I see them favored by 13.5 at BetMGM against the Titans on Sunday Night Football, I'm totally good with taking the boys from Tennessee.

Yeah, I know the whole "Andy Reid off a bye week" theory.

He's the best when he has more time. How good? 21-3 straight up in the regular season.

But it's not-so-incredible against the spread (18-6), which is the game I'm playing.

Arrowhead is intimidating, and it's hard to get out of there with a win. But against the spread? Very beatable.

The Chiefs are a lackluster 10-15 against the spread at home since 2020 and they've failed to cover in four straight games in Kansas City.

The Titans have won and covered five straight contests and, yet, they're getting no respect in the marketplace.

In fact, they are the second-longest underdog for a team on a five-game winning streak in the past 20 years, only surpassed by the 2018 Chargers, who were 14-point dogs to the New England Patriots in the playoffs in 2008.

It's unfamiliar territory for Mike Vrabel's Titans. As long as he has been the coach, the longest they have been as an underdog has been +10. It happened three times and they won two of those games outright.

BetMGM isn't charging me that much more for the hook, so I'm gonna buy it.

Take the Titans (-120) at +14 at BetMGM tonight.
