Alvin Kamara
ATD (+120, FanDuel)
Kamara is yet to find the end zone this season, but not for a lack of volume.
In his last two games, Kamara has 54 touches, including nine in the red zone (six carries and three targets). The Cardinals defense isn’t exactly “top notch” and has allowed six touchdowns to opposing RBs this season.
I hate to say “He’s due” as a reason to make a bet, but Kamara might as well be at the end of his third trimester.
DeAndre Hopkins
ATD (+160, Caesars)
This is not an outside-the-box pick, but Hopkins has been a touchdown machine throughout his career. He had eight touchdowns in 10 games last season and was the Cardinals’ clear target and TD leader before he got hurt.
In his 2022 debut, Hopkins faces a Saints secondary that will be without Marshon Lattimore for a second straight game. The Saints have given up seven touchdowns this season to opposing wide receivers and rank in the bottom five in catches and yards to the position.
Without Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, Hopkins could see 10 or more targets in his season debut.
Juwan Johnson
ATD (+480, FanDuel)
Juwan Johnson hasn’t caught a touchdown this season, but I like his chances in this matchup.
Johnson has three red-zone targets this season and is actually third on the Saints in total targets with 25. Starting TE Adam Trautman has been ruled out, as have WRs Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry.
The Cardinals rank last in the NFL in catches and yards allowed to opposing tight ends, and they’ve given up three touchdowns to the position this season.
