Monday Night Football gives us a massive game with the 4-0 Chiefs hoping to sign off with a win before their bye, while the 2-2 Saints look to join their NFC South cohorts in the Falcons and Bucs in a three-way first-place tie.
Let's dive into my Monday Night Football player prop predictions for the Saints vs. Chiefs.
Sam Farley's Monday Night Football NFL Player Prop Bets
- Alvin Kamara Over 100.5 Rushing and Receiving Yards (-112, BetRivers)
- Alvin Kamara Anytime Touchdown (+105, bet365)
- Travis Kelce Over 5.5 Receptions (-110, BetMGM)
Alvin Kamara Prop
Over 100.5 Rushing and Receiving Yards (-112)
The Chiefs have the eighth fewest rushing yards allowed this season, but we’re taking Alvin Kamara to have Over 100.5 yards from scrimmage this week. It’s a number that Kamara has hit each week so far, with his lowest total being 110 combined yards in Week 1.
The Chiefs have allowed 9.6 yards per catch to running backs this season, an area in which Kamara thrives, and has himself averaged 10.2 yards per catch.
Kamara has averaged 20 carries per game and if he keeps that up, he’ll get volume and even if he doesn’t hit the 100.5 mark with his rushing, then he should with his receiving. He had nine targets last week and will be a threat in the passing game here.
Alvin Kamara Prop
Alvin Kamara Anytime Touchdown (+105)
We’re doubling down on the running back and backing Kamara to find the endzone. Most firms have their odds so short that finding plus money on him is an instant bet. He’s had a big four weeks, scoring five touchdowns on the ground and adding in another in the passing game.
He’s scored 50% of his team’s touchdowns this season and is the key player on the offense. Even against a strong Chiefs’ defense, he’ll be the man that they trust when they’re in the red zone. Only four players have more carries inside the 20 than Kamara’s 17 and he’s been targeted there twice too.
Travis Kelce Prop
Over 5.5 Receptions (-110)
With no touchdowns or 100+ yard games to his name, it’s not been a vintage start to the season for Travis Kelce, but he will be a key factor in the Chiefs' game plan on MNF. With Rashee Rice injured, we saw Patrick Mahomes rely on somebody who has always been one of his favorite targets.
In the first three weeks of the season, he had just eight catches for 69 yards. Then, with Rice injured, he had seven catches on nine targets for 89 yards.
The Chiefs’ WR corps are banged up and so we’re likely to see the Mahomes and Kelce connection back in force.
