The San Francisco 49ers (5-5) and Green Bay Packers (7-3) face off in NFL Week 12. Kickoff is set for in 4:25 p.m. ET from Lambeau Field in Green Bay. The game will be broadcast live on FOX and can be streamed on YouTube TV.

The Packers are favored by 5.5 points with the game total set at 44.5 points scored. The Packers are -260 moneyline favorites to win outright, while the 49ers are +210 to pull off the upset.

The 49ers lost 20-17 to the Seahawks last week. Brock Purdy will be sidelined for this contest with right shoulder soreness; the 49ers will start Branden Allen at quarterback. San Francisco will also be without Nick Bosa due to a hip/oblique injury. The Packers won 20-19 over the Bears last week thanks to a walk-off blocked field goal. Jordan Love averaged 15.4 yards per attempt, while Josh Jacobs gained 134 yards of total offense.

Let's get into my 49ers vs. Packers predictions and NFL picks.

Spread

There's a clear edge here with the 49ers missing Brock Purdy and Nick Bosa, and potentially Trent Williams. I'm hesitant to lay 5.5 points, though.

I've focused my bet on the second-half spread. The Packers have been a juggernaut after halftime this season, and whatever magic Kyle Shanahan cooks up with Brandon Allen might wear off in the second half.

Moneyline

I'm not betting either team's moneyline in this game.

Over/Under

Our expert Chris Raybon projects this total at 47, so I'm in line with the market and have no pick.

My Pick: Packers 2H -2.5

49ers vs. Packers NFL Week 12 Preview

There’s a clear edge in this matchup with the 49ers potentially missing three of who I’d consider their four most important players.

Brock Purdy and Nick Bosa have already been ruled out, while LT Trent Williams is questionable. Also, that fourth player, Christian McCaffrey hasn’t looked quite like his usual self since returning.

Still, giving the 49ers 5.5 points is a daunting task. Kyle Shanahan is one of the best coaches in the NFL, and it wouldn’t shock anyone if Brandon Allen looked like the next coming of Brock Purdy on Sunday at Lambeau Field.

It would be easy to see why you’d want to fade the Packers, as well. Green Bay is first in our NFL Luck Rankings and coming off a one-point road win thanks to a blocked field goal as time expired.

Still, I can’t quite get there, especially if Williams is out. If the 49ers are missing their best player in the trenches on both sides of the ball on the road, that’d difficult to overcome.

Instead of just betting on the Packers to cover over 60 minutes, I’m focused on the second half, when they’ve been a force to be reckoned with this season.

The Packers have covered a 2.5-point second-half spread in seven of their last eight games, and they haven’t been outscored in the second half since Week 2.

Since Week 3, the 49ers have outscored their opponents in the second half just once, and that was against the Cowboys. Otherwise, they’ve lost the second-half battle by at least three points four times and are 1-6-1 in that span in the second half.

I’m confident that Shanahan’s scripted plays will get Allen off to a good start and have the 49ers looking like they aren’t going to miss a beat without Purdy. The Packers defense, though, usually steps up after halftime. In their last eight games, the Packers have given up 6.9 second-half points per game.

As of Saturday, this spread is at 2.5 at most sportsbooks. You can get Packers 2H -0.5 at -130 at bet365, while FanDuel was still posting -1.5.

My Pick: Packers 2H -2.5
