This article contains predictions for an old game.

The Seattle Seahawks (3-3) and Atlanta Falcons (4-2) will kick off NFL Week 7's Sunday afternoon slate. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET from Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, and the game can be streamed live on YouTube TV and other streaming platforms.

The Falcons are consensus 3-point favorites over the Seahawks on the spread (Falcons -3), with the over/under set at 51.5 points. Atlanta is -162 on the moneyline to win outright, while Seattle is +136 to pull off the upset.

The Seahawks have lost 3 straight games after losing 36-24 to the 49ers last week. Seattle is averaging 24.3 points per game during its skid, but it's giving up 35.7. The Falcons have won 3 straight after beating the Panthers 38-20 last week. Tyler Allgeier and Bijan Robinson combined for 200 rushing yards last week against Carolina.

Let's get into my Seahawks vs. Falcons predictions and my NFL picks for Sunday Week 7.

Spread

I'm taking the field goal this week with the Seahawks. It's a good bounce-back spot for Seattle against a Falcons team that has pretty much exclusively played one-score games this season and has no noteworthy home-field advantage.

Moneyline

I'm not betting either team's moneyline for this game.

Over/Under

This total is one of the highest of the season. I'm passing on it.

My pick: Seahawks +3

Seahawks vs. Falcons NFL Week 7 Preview

I just can't get to this number. I have these teams rated as about even on a neutral field, and Atlanta doesn’t have a great home-field advantage.

This is a spot for Seattle. The Seahawks have lost three straight, and road ‘dogs who have lost three straight are about 60% against the spread. I also think this is a good spot to buy low on Seattle, which started 3-0.

The schedule was very easy so the Seahawks weren’t as good as their record indicated, but two of these three losses were against the Lions and 49ers with the surging Giants mixed in the middle. Seattle also played 11 games in three days and will have gotten extended rest coming into this one after playing on Thursday night in Week 6.

The Seahawks secondary is a concern, but I’m hopeful Riq Woolen will return. He was playing at an All-Pro level and has established himself as one of the best in the NFL. Up front, first-round rookie Byron Murphy also looks like he’s going to be back.

Woolen’s return is massive. This season, he’s allowing the lowest completion percentage among qualified cornerbacks, the second-lowest yards per target and the lowest passer rating allowed. When facing a red-hot Drake London, that will come in handy.

All the Falcons do is play close games. Before beating the Panthers by 18 last week (it’s the Panthers, the widest margin a Falcons game had been decided by this season was eight points. That game wasn’t a blowout necessarily, though, until a late Andy Dalton interception iced it.

I’m also high on Mike Macdonald as a defensive schemer. Giving him a long week of prep for a game like this, I think Seattle will be able to hold its own on the road.

Also, the Falcons are 31st in pressure rate. This should be a good matchup for Geno Smith to stay upright and get the ball to his impressive trio of receivers.

Pick: Seahawks +3
