The Kenny Pickett era is officially over in Pittsburgh.
The Philadelphia Eagles have acquired Pickett from the Pittsburgh Steelers.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, all it took for the Eagles to acquire Pickett was a pick swap.
Schefter also reported that after the Steelers acquired Russell Wilson, the young quarterback told the team he was ready to move on.

The former 20th overall pick was expected to battle for the starting quarterback job with Wilson. Now, he will surely backup Jalen Hurts in Philadelphia.
Pickett has played in 25 games (24 starts) through his two seasons in the NFL. He started 12 games for the Steelers this past season and went 7-5 in those contests. He also threw for 2,070 yards with six touchdowns and four interceptions.
Hurts and Tanner McKee were the only quarterbacks on the Eagles' roster, so Philadelphia was in the market for a backup quarterback. The Eagles have now solidified that spot on the roster and have some insurance in case Hurts goes down with an injury.
