Week 6's Sunday Night Football matchup is a must-watch NFC East rivalry game between the Cowboys and Eagles.
I have one play from each team. These players aren’t the flashiest of names and are more bargain-bin guys who could surprise.
RB Kenneth Gainwell, Eagles
Dallas ranks first in the league in zone coverage rate on defense, so Gainwell may be able to take advantage in this spot.
Per data from PFF, Gainwell averages 1.51 yards per route against zone coverage compared to 0.84 versus man in his career. Gainwell’s two targets inside the 10-yard line are second on the team, making him the best bet for a TD among Eagles backups.
WR KaVontae Turpin, Cowboys
With Simi Fehoko on injured reserve, it’s quite possible that Turpin serves as Dallas' WR4 as he's been active all year due to his explosive return ability on special teams.
The Cowboys haven't been in many negative game scripts of late, but they are 6.5-point 'dogs on the road, so they may finally have to go to some 4-to-5 WR sets.
Turpin’s only offensive touch this year came on a designed rush attempt (in the red zone), but it's only a matter of time before they get the 4.31 speedster more involved.
