Sunday Night Football for Week 12 of the NFL season gives us an NFC clash between the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles.
I have two players — one from each side — to target in this game. These players aren’t the flashiest of names and are more bargain-bin guys who could surprise.
TE Jack Stoll, Eagles
In Philly's first game without Dallas Goedert, Stoll ran a route on 73% of dropbacks – third most on the team behind DeVonta Smith (100%) and A.J. Brown (90%). Backups Grant Calcaterra (20%) and Tyree Jackson (10%) were barely involved.
Stoll isn’t going to wow anyone with his receiving chops, but he has decent touchdownodds based on routes alone. Stoll and Goedert have combined for seven red-zone targets this season — only Brown (12) has more.
WR Randall Cobb, Packers
Cobb returned from injury and ran a route on 65% of dropbacks in last week’s loss to Tennessee.
With 10 days to rest up, Cobb could be out there even more against an Eagles defense that offers him a favorable matchup as Green Bay’s top slot receiver.
Eagles slot corner Josiah Scott’s PFF coverage grade of 50.8 ranks 95th of 120 qualified corners. With Darius Slay (78.2, ninth) and James Bradberry (77.0, 13th) manning the perimeter, the ball could be funneled to Cobb inside.
