We're two games away from officially having a Super Bowl 53 matchup.
Which of the NFL's Final 4 — Rams, Saints, Pats and Chiefs — has the best chance to make it to the big game and leave Atlanta a champion? We simulated the remaining slate with our Bet Labs data 10,000 times to find out.
Here's what the numbers say.
All projections are as of Sunday morning.
SUPER BOWL 53 PROJECTIONS & CHANCES
1. New Orleans Saints
- Chance to make Super Bowl 53: 59.4%
- Chance to win Super Bowl 53: 31.2%
2. Kansas City Chiefs
- Chance to make Super Bowl 53: 59.3%
- Chance to win Super Bowl 53: 29.3%
3. Los Angeles Rams
- Chance to make Super Bowl 53: 40.6%
- Chance to win Super Bowl 53: 20.3%
4. New England Patriots
- Chance to make Super Bowl 53: 40.7%
- Chance to win Super Bowl 53: 19.2%
While the Saints and Chiefs have near-identical chances of winning on Sunday and making Super Bowl 53, New Orleans' odds are slightly better to win the whole thing.
That's not totally surprising, as our Power Ratings have had the Saints as the No. 1 team in the NFL for the majority of the season.
The Rams and Patriots, meanwhile, are both underdogs on Sunday, and if either of them makes the Super Bowl, they'll likely be dogs again.
New England — the team with the most playoff and Super Bowl experience — has the worst odds of any team to win it all, according to our simulations. Go figure.
