It's Patrick Mahomes' world and we're all just living in it. Despite being underdogs in the game, Mahomes entered Super Bowl 58 as the favorite to win Super Bowl MVP and the NFL's top passer won his third MVP after engineering one of the most impressive comebacks in the second half.

Mahomes closed as a +150 favorite to win Super Bowl MVP and has now won two MVPs as an underdog. Only Mahomes (2024, 2023) and Tom Brady (2021) have accomplished that feat.
Kelce was actually the most-bet player to win Super Bowl MVP (19%) at BetMGM, and one bettor had a $10,000 wager on Kelce to take home the hardware at +1300 odds. Kelce had a spectacular game and led all receivers with nine catches and 93 yards. However, Mahomes was the story of the game, particularly late in the game. Mahomes engineered a second-half comeback with the Chiefs trailing 10-3 at halftime. He was 23-for-33 with 210 passing yards and two touchdowns, including 8-for-8 and a TD in overtime.
Mahomes pulling off the win as an underdog just adds to his growing legend. Mahomes closed as an underdog against the 49ers, making him a 'dog in four of his last five playoff games after having 13-game streak as a favorite prior to Super Bowl 57.
In the last 20 years, Super Bowl-winning QBs are now 61-24-2 ATS as underdogs in the playoffs. Those QBs are 25-8 ATS as a 'dog before winning the ring and 36-16-2 ATS after the ring — including, 14-4 ATS since 2018 playoffs.
