The road to the playoffs will run through Baltimore and San Francisco.

The Ravens and 49ers clinched the top seed in their respective conferences, albeit in different ways. As a result, the 49ers are now +240 and the favorites to win the Super Bowl at DraftKings while Baltimore is +300.

The Ravens blew out the Dolphins, 56-19, for their second convincing win in as many weeks. Lamar Jackson was lights out, completing 18-of-21 passes for 321 yards and five touchdowns for a perfect 158.3 passer rating. He also ran the ball six times for 35 yards.

Jackson possibly wrapped up his second-MVP award in the process as his odds went from -190 to -1000 at DraftKings. He won MVP honors for the 2019 season in which he became only the second unanimous winner in NFL history.

Meanwhile, San Francisco’s 27-10 win over the Commanders combined with Arizona’s massive 35-31 upset of the Eagles secured them the top seed in the NFC. The 49ers’ win came at a cost, though, as Christian McCaffrey left early with a calf injury. The good news is that they have three weeks for him to heel up if they opt to keep him out of next week’s meaningless game against the Rams.

Capturing home field advantage and the bye has been huge over the years. Since 1990, 34 of the 66 No. 1 seeds have reached the Super Bowl (51.5%). Additionally, four of the six top seeds made the Conference Championship Game since the playoffs expanded to three wild cards and only one bye. Three of those teams made the Super Bowl, including the Chiefs and Eagles a year ago.
