The Super Bowl prop market is always one of the most popular betting angles for those looking to get action on the big game, and the prop market has been plenty active already ahead of Sunday's Super Bowl.
BetMGM released its most-bet props thus far, and there's a mix of some surprises and some very predictable wagers.
For example, the single most-bet prop up to this point is Travis Kelce to score at any time (-125), along with Kelce to score the game's first touchdown at +650.
Odds updated as of Tuesday afternoon via FanDuel. |
The Chiefs' tight end notched 12 touchdowns in the regular season, and he's picked up a touchdown in each playoff game the Chiefs have played. Kelce scored two touchdowns against the Jaguars and logged another one against the Bengals.
Additionally, it's understandable to see Miles Sanders over 59.5 rushing yards (-115) as a popular wager. Bettors are flocking to the Eagles' running back, and he's gone over that number in three of his last five games.
Then, we get to the silly stuff. Of course, BetMGM can't legally offer a number of the most absurd Super Bowl props that we know and love (see: halftime show props), but bettors are still getting some serious money down on — shall I say — low expected value bets.
If you're making these bets, you definitely are betting with recreation in mind (which is good!), but without further ado, the next-most bet prop wager at BetMGM is…. tails.
Yes, the old adage of tails never fails is appealing to bettors in this game, as tails (-105) is a popular bet.
Beyond that, one prop with long odds is attracting the eye of bettors. An exact score bet of 37-34 Eagles is the fourth-most wagered prop at BetMGM. That bet would pay out +8000.
Why 37-34, Eagles? A Pro Football Reference "script" was posted on Twitter, highlighting that score.
The Super Bowl is slated to start at 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday.
