Travis Kelce has been the most-talked-about athlete over the past couple of weeks, but the talk on Monday was whether the Kansas City Chiefs tight end has been cursed.

After the All-Pro tight end made his relationship with Taylor Swift public, his Instagram profile grew by almost a million followers over the past week.

When rumors started to swirl that Swift would be at her second-straight Chiefs game as they faced the New York Jets on Sunday night, people started to hammer Kelce's player props. They expected him to show off in front of his new girl.

DraftKings took in two times the amount of money on Kelce props on Sunday than they took in for the first three Chiefs games combined.

Kelce accounted for 20% of the total bets and 14% of the handle on the Chiefs vs. Jets game at FanDuel.

Kelce to score a touchdown was the most popular player prop at BetMGM.

The Chiefs struggled throughout the game but were able to pull off the 23-20 win over the Jets.

Kelce finished with a team-high 60 receiving yards on six catches but that didn't help many bettors.

Many of his props that bettors hit hard were losers, including:

  • Over longest reception (21.5)
  • Anytime TD (-125)
  • Over receiving yards (71.5)

According to a report from Page Six, Kelce was spotted leaving Swift's New York City apartment around 11 a.m. on Sunday morning before the game. It is unclear whether he slept there or not as teams typically have 11 p.m. room checks at their hotel.

With Kelce unable to hit his overs, people are going to start believing the superstar singer is hurting his game.
