Listen. I have a lot of thoughts about the problematic nature of this market. Of course, it's weird to bet on something like a proposal — these are two adults who are just trying to live their lives that happen to be incredibly public in many ways.
But are you really going to tell me that the woman who wrote “You Belong With Me" as a teenager wouldn't be absolutely floored by a proposal on the field after a Super Bowl win? Sure, there's an argument to be made that so much of their existence is forcibly under the public eye and this is something that they'd prefer to do privately. But Taylor reportedly liked it when Travis publicly shot his shot on New Heights, the podcast he shares with Eagles legend (and brother) Jason Kelce, so big displays of affection haven't been rebuffed so far at least.
The football fan in me hopes that the Chiefs win, Trav proposes (and lives happily ever after with Taylor, of course) and he, Patrick Mahomes, some other key K.C. players and Andy Reid retire perfectly content with their historic three-peat and leave some future Super Bowls for the rest of us.
