Browns vs. Titans odds have Cleveland laying 3.5 points at home in NFL Week 3.

The Browns and Titans both enter this game with 1-1 records. Deshaun Watson and Ryan Tannehill have both had their struggles to start the year and now have to face loaded defenses. It’s a situation where the better quarterback – or the one who just makes the fewest mistakes – could be the difference.

Let's preview the game and make our Browns vs. Titans pick.

Matchup Analysis

The Browns are coming off a devastating week in which they blew a very winnable game against the Steelers and, more importantly, lost Nick Chubb for the season.

Cleveland re-signed Kareem Hunt to bolster the run game alongside Jerome Ford, who had success after replacing Chubb. However, the loss of Chubb only puts more pressure on Deshaun Watson, who has struggled mightily to start the season.

Watson was bad last year coming off his suspension, but many thought he would get back to his old self after a full training camp and offseason. That has not been the case at all as Watson currently ranks 31st in the league in yards per attempt at 5.6.

That puts him behind the likes of Kenny Pickett, Zach Wilson, Mac Jones and Joshua Dobbs. Watson has been unable to get anything going downfield despite a good group of receivers in Amari Cooper, Elijah Moore and Donovan Peoples-Jones.

The Titans defense has had a strong start to the season and should give the Browns problems. Tennessee is third in the NFL in overall rush defense and should have no problem stacking the box and containing the duo of Ford and Hunt. That will force Watson to make downfield throws, which is something he has proven time and time again he can't do in a Browns uniform.

The Titans offense has not been without issues of their own.

Ryan Tannehill was more efficient last week though, going 20-for-24 for 246 yards and a touchdown. Critically, Tannehill and the Titans did not turn the ball over against the Chargers. That type of production is all the Titans need from Tannehill with Derrick Henry and Tyjae Spears combining for 120-plus yards on the ground.

The Browns defense is stacked, but they have also faced weak opponents thus far. Joe Burrow has not been anywhere near healthy this year and the Steelers offense looks pretty pathetic.

Myles Garrett and this crew will certainly cause the Titans some problems, but they might not be as dominant in this game — especially if Tannehill can avoid making mistakes.

Betting Picks & Predictions

The Titans are the play here.

Despite the poor form from Ryan Tannehill to start the year, Deshaun Watson’s erratic play is more concerning to me between the two. And despite adding Kareem Hunt, Nick Chubb is one of a few running backs in the league who just can't be replaced with a committee. I also give a big coaching edge to Mike Vrabel and the Titans.

Tennessee is 27-16-1 (62.8%) against the spread (ATS) as underdogs in the Vrabel era, making him one of the best coaches in the NFL as an underdog.

The Titans have been a short underdog in both games this season. They covered in a close game against the Saints, and then won outright as a home 'dog against the Chargers.

That's just what Vrabel and the Titans do in these spots. Additionally, the Browns are 9-19 (32.1%) ATS as favorites in the Kevin Stefanski era.

Pick: Titans +3.5 (Play to +3)
