Travis Kelce said on his podcast that it was "unacceptable" for him to scream at and bump into head coach Andy Reid in the middle of Super Bowl LVII between the Chiefs and 49ers.

On the "New Heights" podcast, Kelce's brother Jason criticized his brother for his aggressive, 10-second tirade against his coach with more than 123 million viewers watching.

"You crossed the line," Jason Kelce said. "I think we can both agree on that."

"I did," Travis Kelce said. "I can't get that fired up to the point where I'm bumping coach and it's getting him off balance and stuff.

As to why the interaction took place? Kelce said it's because he wanted to reinforce that Reid could trust him with big moments and big plays.

"I got a certain relationship with him," Kelce said on his podcast. "He's checked me a few times and I just wanted to let him know that I wanted this thing, and he can put it on me, and I got him. You know, it just came in a moment where we weren't playing very well, I wasn't playing well, and we had to get some s— going and sometimes … emotions get away from me and that's been the battle of my career …"

Kelce added that him and his coach "chuckled" about the incident after the game.

"I just love playing for the guy, man," Kelce said. "Unfortunately, my passion comes out where it looks like it's negativity but I'm grateful he knows I want to win this thing with him more than anything."

Kelce said Reid forgave him immediately after the game despite Kelce's wish that the incident never occurred.

"Coach Reid actually came right up to me after that and didn't even have harsh words for me," Kelce said. "I was ready to get a f—ing ass chewing and for him to just tell me to 'f—ing be better' and he just let him know, hey man, 'I love your passion. I got cameras on me all over the place man, you don't want things to come off' … and it just made me … fired up to get a f—in' victory for him, man. Cause that's how much I love that dude, man. So Big Red, sorry if I caught you with that cheap shot baby."
