Updated ALDS Yankees vs. Royals Odds – Who’s the Favorite?

All four Division Series are tied at one apiece for the first time in MLB history after the Royals upset the Yankees in the Bronx, 4-2.

Kansas City scored all their runs in the fourth inning to steal home-field advantage. The big inning started with a Sal Perez home run before the Royals scratched across three more runs by stringing together four singles.

The onslaught seemingly came out of nowhere as New York’s Carlos Rodon was cooking through three innings, striking out five without giving up any extra-base hits. Meanwhile, the slugging Yankees failed to get an extra-base hit until Jazz Chisholm Jr. homered in the ninth.

The teams now head to Kansas City where ace Seth Lugo is expected to get the ball for the Royals while Clark Schmidt will start for the Yankees. Lugo was an All-Star this year, going 16-9 with a 3.00 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 181 strikeouts.

Meanwhile, Schmidt was 5-5 with a 2.85 ETA, 1.18 WHIP and 93 strikeouts. However, reports are that regular season starter Luis Gil might come in early out of the bullpen. Gil was 15-7 with a 3.50 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 171 punchouts.

The Yankees remain favored to win the series despite losing homefield advantage. They're -155 at DraftKings while the Royals are +130.
