The NFL kicks off Week 8 with Vikings vs. Rams props for Thursday Night Football. Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET from SoFi Stadium exclusively on Prime Video.

There are plenty of interesting prop bets to get stuck into, so let's take a look at my NFL props.

Sam Farley's Vikings vs. Rams Player Props

  • Aaron Jones Over 67.5 Rushing Yards (-115, FanDuel)
  • Jordan Addison Under 3.5 Receptions (-132, FanDuel)
  • Cooper Kupp Over 6.5 Receptions (-125, bet365)

We need to be a little cautious given that Aaron Jones was listed as limited in practice this week but is expected that the former Packers running back will play, just like last week. Against the Lions, Jones returned following the bye and rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown.

Jones' line here is 67.5, a number he’s covered in four of six games. It’s also worth noting that one of the two in which he didn’t, saw him with just seven carries before he went off injured against the Jets in London. He’s had at least 93 yards in every game he’s had with double digit carries.

Only two teams in the NFL, the Colts and Panthers, are giving up more rushing yards per game than the Rams, which makes this a great point to bet the Over on Jones’ rushing yards. He’s a dynamic running back, elusive in the open field, and can rip off big plays. Hit that over now!

Despite a blockbuster campaign for the Vikings and Sam Darnold so far, it’s not been the best year for Jordan Addison yet, who has just two touchdowns to his name across his four games. He’s had exactly three receptions in each game and just four targets in three of them, with the only exception being against the Jets in a game in which they’d lost Aaron Jones, the focal point of their ground game.

With Justin Jefferson continuing to be a target hog, and the potential return of TJ Hockenson, which seems to be a coin toss right now, there’s a real chance that Addison continues to see minimal targets, in which case the Under trend will only continue.

Speaking of returning stars, the Rams have one too, with Cooper Kupp. The star receiver hasn’t played since Week Two when he got injured against the Cardinals but it’s expected that he returns on Thursday night. Normally you need to be careful with returning players but not here and not with Matthew Stafford.

Stafford always looks for Kupp when he’s on the field and even if he’s not at full health, he’ll still be running routes and seeing plenty of targets. In the season opener, his only full game, he had 21 targets and caught 14 of them. He’s a volume guy who moves the chains consistently and will get fed on Thursday. Don’t worry about the Vikings’ impressive pass rush, Stafford will be looking for Kupp.
