Week 5 of the NFL season hasn't even been over for a few hours, and we already have Week 7 odds from New Jersey sportsbook PointsBet.
Week 7 will feature a host of marquee divisional matchups, including Chiefs at Broncos (Thursday Night Football), Texans at Colts and Eagles at Cowboys (Sunday Night Football).
For this week's piece, I'll be comparing the early, early Power Ratings from our projections guru Sean Koerner to the lines at PointsBet. There are a few spreads that are off compared to our projections that are worth early wagers.
Let's dive into the spreads and analysis for each game below.

Week 7 NFL Odds: Lookahead Spreads
Chiefs at Broncos
- Odds: Chiefs -6.5
- Time: 8:20 p.m. ET on Thursday
- TV Channel: FOX/NFL Network
This is exactly in line with our way-too-early power ratings of Chiefs -6.5.
Raiders at Packers
- Odds: Packers -8
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- TV Channel: FOX
Our numbers have this at Packers -9.5. Not enough value — especially when it doesn't cross any keep numbers — to warrant an early wager.
Dolphins at Bills
- Odds: Bills -14
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- TV Channel: CBS
This would be a historic spread for Buffalo, which has never, in the 16-year history of our Bet Labs database, been a 14+ point favorite. And honestly, it might not be high enough. We have this line power rated at Bills -15.
Rams at Falcons
- Odds: Rams -3
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- TV Channel: FOX
Not much early value in this number. Our power ratings have it at Rams -2.5.
Vikings at Lions
- Odds: Lions -2.5
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- TV Channel: FOX
Our first big discrepancy compared the our early power ratings. We have Vikings -1, so there's 3.5 points of value compared to PointsBet's line.
Texans at Colts
- Odds: Colts -1.5
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- TV Channel: CBS
This is exactly in line with our number of Colts -1.5.
Cardinals at Giants
- Odds: Giants -3.5
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- TV Channel: FOX
Our projections make this Giants -5.5, but that doesn't account for these two teams going the opposite directions in Week 5. We'll be closer to PointsBet's numbers after our Tuesday updates.
49ers at Redskins
- Odds: No line
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- TV Channel: FOX
Keep an eye out for when this line drops after Monday Night Football. We have it 49ers -7.5.
Jaguars at Bengals
- Odds: Jaguars -2
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- TV Channel: CBS
No early value at this number. Our line is Jags -1.5.
Chargers at Titans
- Odds: Titans -1
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- TV Channel: CBS
We make this game a pick'em, so PointsBet's spread appears about right.
Saints at Bears
- Odds: No line
- Time: 4:25 p.m. ET
- TV Channel: FOX
Keep an eye out for when this line drops. We make it Bears -3.5.
Ravens at Seahawks
- Odds: Seahawks -3.5
- Time: 4:25 p.m. ET
- TV Channel: CBS
Our power ratings make this Seahawks -2.5. While the spread is only a point off, it's very valuable to be crossing the number 3. I placed a small wager at PointsBet on Ravens +3.5.
Eagles at Cowboys
- Odds: Cowboys -1
- Time: 8:20 p.m. ET
- TV Channel: NBC
I'll absolutely be wagering on the Cowboys -1 at PointsBet. Our numbers make it Cowboys -4.5. With no notable injuries suffered by either side on Sunday, this is a huge overreaction to Dallas' flop on a big stage against the Packers. The Eagles cruised to a victory over the Jets, but were hardly impressive in doing so. They gained just 265 total yards and averaged 4.5 yards per play.
Patriots at Jets
- Odds: No line
- Time: 8:15 p.m. ET on Monday
- TV Channel: ESPN
We make this a whopping Patriots -19.5.
