Le Golf National hosts the 2024 Paris Olympic Games with the Olympics Men's Golf Competition this week and the Olympics Women's Golf Competition next week.

Golf does not have a deep history in the storied Olympic Games, but it seems to be a staple from here on out. Taking a look at the golf course, Le Golf National is a very beautiful property, which annually hosts the French Open on the European Tour and also hosted the Ryder Cup as recently as 2018.

This course will play just over 7,100 yards as a par-71, which is relatively short by today's standards. Le Golf National's biggest defense will be plenty of water hazards and firm and fast fairways. The course has hosted events in the summer and in the fall, and there is a drastic difference in how fast the fairways play in the summer.

Consequently, keeping the ball in play off the tee and being extremely precise into the greens are the biggest keys to success here. By no means do golfers have to bomb the ball a mile; short hitters will be in the mix in this event.

Not every One & Done pool includes this week's Men's Olympic Golf Competition, but for those who are in the mix, I have analyzed a few intriguing golfers for your 2024 Paris Olympics One & Done Picks to help you win your OAD pool below.

2024 Paris Olympics One & Done Picks

Golf

Rory McIlroy +900

For some reason, if you still have Rory McIlroy, I think he's going to go very under the radar this week.

After disappointing everyone at Royal Troon during The Open Championship, people are overlooking McIlroy, and his betting number is drifting a little bit.

I mentioned above that golfers don't need to be overly long and Le Golf National will do a decent job mitigating the driver, but McIlroy is extremely talented and has the upside to win on any course. He has some promising course history here with top-four finishes in each of his two prior appearances in 2010 and 2016, so I am not worried about the lack of reps.

If you have McIlroy available, run him out in your One and Done pool!

Golf

Hideki Matsuyama +4000

A decent majority of pools should still have Hideki Matsuyama available, and he may be going a tad under the radar. Matsuyama did not play well in Scotland, but I am not worried by that in the slightest.

Links golf is not the place where I want to run out Matsuyama. Instead, I want to play him where accuracy and iron play are accentuated, and Le Golf National is a great spot for that!

His stats in his recent starts truly look fine, although his results have been poor because of his cold putter. That tells me a solid result is around the corner.

His good friend and countrymen Ryo Hisatsune won on this course last year. They play nearly every practice round together, so you know that Hisatsune is giving his friend a few tips and tricks for Le Golf National before he tees it up for Japan this week.

Golf

Victor Perez +15000

This is a true deep cut as Victor Perez has a home game this week in France. You may not know his name, but the Frenchman is making a name for himself on the PGA Tour this season. Perez has spent years on the European Tour, but he got his card via promotion from the DP World Tour last year.

He does not have any wins or even many weeks in contention this season in the United States, but he does have extremely solid ball-striking stats. He has been so consistent from tee to green this season, and I fully expect that to transition to Le Golf National.

Perez is accurate off the tee and has plenty of iron upside. Since he is one of two French golfers in this field, he has plenty of course history and should feel very comfortable around Le Golf National. Perez will garner zero ownership and has some top-five upside in One & Done pools.

If you need to chase, pencil in Victor Perez as your contrarian pick in your 2024 Olympic Golf One & Done pool.
