After an off day on Monday, group pool for men’s basketball continues Tuesday at the summer olympics. The 2024 Paris Olympics have been thrilling, especially with the men's basketball games showcasing intense competition and standout performances. Three players I will be targeting include Sergio Llull, Jock Landale, and Dennis Schroder.

Sergio Llull Over 8.5 Points (-110) via DraftKings

On Saturday, Llull's point line was set at 6.5 points, but that ended up being far too low as he scored 17 points in 24 minutes. As a result, Llull's line is a basket higher against Greece. However, if he sees similar volume, he will soar over this line.

Against Australia, Llull got up 17 field goal attempts, 15 of which were triples. He wasn't particularly efficient as he shot just 6-for-17 from the field 5-for-15 from beyond the arc. However, he only needs to knock down three triples to clear this line against Greece.

Additionally, Spain appeared to go in the matchup with Australia with the intention of firing away from deep. The Spainards attempted 37 3s and 32 field goals inside the arc. Ultimately, Spain couldn't overcome Australia's edge on the interior but the deep ball helped Spain hang around until the fourth quarter before a late run put the game away.

Dealing with Giannis Antetokounmpo, Spain likely will lose the points-in-the-paint battle again. However, that likely means Llull will be among the Spainards getting up a lot of 3s once again. If he plays north of 20 minutes or attempts 10 3s again, I will feel good about his chances of knocking at least three of them and scoring nine points.

Jock Landale Over 13.5 Points (-125) via DraftKings

Jock Landale is one reason that Spain didn't have an answer on the interior on Saturday. He scored 20 points and pulled down nine rebounds. We cashed on Landale on Saturday, but his performance has his lines on the uptick as his points are three points higher. However, he has another favorable matchup again.

Canada has a roster laden with NBA talent, but its strength is on the perimeter. Of its big men – Dwight Powell, Kelly Olynyk, Trey Lyles and Khem Birch, with only Powell playing more than 20 minutes. Antetokounmpo took advantage and scored 34 points in his Olympic debut.

Am I expecting Landale to dominate as much as Antetokounmpo? No, but 15 points is certainly possible with Landale being the Boomers' main threat on the interior. Australia had a balanced attack on Saturday with Landale, Patty Mills and Josh Giddey being the leading scorers.

If Mills and Giddey commands more attention from Dillon Brooks and Lu Dort, then Landale may have even more opportunities to exploit his advantage inside. He is +390 on DraftKings to score points once again.

Dennis Schroder Over 7.5 Assists (-130) via DraftKings

Against Japan, Germany nearly scored 100 points and that led to a big night on the stat sheet for Dennis Schroder, who had 13 points and 12 assists. Germany is a double-digit favorite once again against Brazil and their team total is 90.5 points. As the primary facilitator for Germany, Schroder may be in for another big game.

In addition to his performance against Japan, Schroder also had 10 assists in 17 minutes against the United States. Against Brazil, we only need eight assists to cash this line. However, with what 10+ assists in his last two games, Schroder offers good value for a double-double at +230 as well as 10 assists at +210 on DraftKings.

Schroder was one of five Germans in double-digits against Japan, led by Franz Wagner, who finished with 22 points. Schroder has a lot of quality options on his team to help pile up the assists once again. If he plays 25+ minutes once again, he should finish with eight assists and may hit 10 or more once as well.
